MARENNA showcase their on-stage energy in vibrant brand-new music video
Reaping excellent results and having a huge worldwide recognition with their fourth and most recent studio album, the acclaimed “Voyager”, the Brazilianhard rockers from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, continue firm and strong in promoting their new album with the fifth music video release.
Recorded at the Tokio Marine Hall, in São Paulo, as the opening act for the former Queensrÿche vocalist Geoff Tate’s concert, the chosen song was “Too Young To Die”, and it shows some of the band’s energy on stage, a place where Rod Marenna (vocals), Luks Diesel (keyboard/backing vocals), Edu Lersch (guitar), Bife (bass) and Arthur Schavinski (drums) simply dominate.
In the words of singer and leader Rod Marenna: “The lyrics of “Too Young To Die” aim to make a counterpoint where we currently have information and technology at our disposal and yet, many times we let our procrastination, lack of focus and lack of faith in ourselves block us and work against ourselves, causing us to just follow and not make a difference in our existence.”
Continuing the saga of performing live, also, playing with great international Rock/Metal medallists, MARENNA was the band invited to open the honours of the house for the American singer Eric Martin, the voice of Mr. Big, on April 13 (Thursday), at Teatro Unisinos, in Porto Alegre/RS, in a night of hard rock and good music.
This great phase Marenna’s career is the result of hard. quality, intense and focused work. They were finalists in the Summer Breeze New Blood contest, where they were one of the 10 selected by the curators of the Summer Breeze Brasil festival, to be held in the capital, São Paulo, on April 29th and 30th.
“Voyager”, released by the Danish record label, Lions Pride Music and in Brazil in partnership with Classic Metal Records and Heavy Metal Rock, has been receiving countless praises and indications as one of the best albums released in last year by several journalists and press vehicles specialized in Rock and Metal worldwide. The renowned Japanese magazine Burrn!, for example, placed “Voyager” as the 28th position in highest sales of imported CDs in the country.
Nowadays, MARENNA‘s sound overflows with energy and identity, and on stage, the new and more mature phase that the band has been developing in the last years, shows well, bringing the melodic hard rock from the 80’s and a well balanced mix of heavy elements of Heavy Metal. The other four singles taken from “Voyager”, “Breaking The Chains”, “Wait”, “Voyager” and “Out Of Line”, with their typical eighties choruses made to sing along, are also great examples of the energy and high spirits that, without a doubt, will warm up everyone present on this memorable night.
